Will American Modern only insure really valuable homes?

I was talking to an agent about homeowners insurance and they mentioned American Modern, but the way they described it made it sound like it’s for really high-end or unusual homes.

My house is nice, but it’s not some luxury property. It’s just an older place that’s been updated over time. I’m wondering if this company is even meant for someone like me, or if they mostly focus on high-value homes.

American Modern does insure some higher-value or unique homes, but it’s not limited to luxury properties.

American Modern is what’s called a specialty insurer. That means they focus on homes that don’t always fit neatly into standard insurance guidelines. That can include high-value homes, but also older houses, seasonal homes, manufactured homes, or properties with unique features.

So, your situation, an older home that’s been updated, could actually be a good fit.
