It’s the final countdown…to SXSW 2017! In less than a week, the South by Southwest Interactive Festival kicks off here in The Zebra’s hometown of Austin, Texas.
Come join us Sunday, March 12 at a Featured Session in which Mark Cuban and The Zebra’s own Founder and CEO Adam Lyons will discuss government’s role in technology innovation on a panel moderated by Michele Skelding. (See press release for more details.)
When: Sunday, March 12 | 5:00-6:00 p.m. CDT
Where: Austin Convention Center – Ballroom D | Austin, Texas
What: Uber, Lyft, and Airbnb are a few of many companies whose business models have been challenged by government regulation of late, and it’s shaking up daily lives (notably so here in SXSW’s hometown of Austin, which Uber and Lyft left in May). Car insurance comparison marketplace The Zebra made its mark by disrupting a highly regulated industry despite complex state governing processes. Speakers will discuss how they’ve worked both with and against government regulation in achieving successful disruption (particularly in marketplaces such as travel, ticketing, and now insurance), and what some of the biggest hurdles have been and will continue to be.
